Luke Pinneo – Freelance Writer

Luke is a 20-year veteran of the communication industry, starting his career in small-town newspapers in New York in the 1990’s, transitioning to sales and marketing on the West Coast, holding a distinguished career as a Coast Guard journalist, and thriving as a freelance writer for hundreds of small business across the country.

He has nearly 2 decades of professional writing experience crafting news pieces, feature stories, ad copy, blog posts, social media content, and other written work. His work encompasses a wide range of topics and is published globally. His professional strengths are: versatility, a compassionate and compelling writing voice, the ability to develop original ideas on deadline, autonomy, and collaboration.

He is a graduate of the Defense Information School with an emphasis in journalism, photojournalism, and public affairs, holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Maryland, an AA in Media Communications from Coastline College, and is currently pursuing a BA in Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University.

Luke lives in Chesapeake, VA. with his wife and two sons where he walks daily, reads, writes, talks to strangers, and daydreams.
